VetDx is a partnership between agile Software as a Service (SaaS) company, PD2X, and RAFT Solutions, a Yorkshire-based veterinary business with UK-wide reach and international business relationships. team

Andrew Halliday

Andrew Halliday

Andrew co-founded PD2X in partnership with Clive Minihan, an entrepreneur with whom he has successfully collaborated on two previous occasions.

Andrew is passionate about both animal and human healthcare and has a degree in Zoology, from the University of Leeds, and a Masters’ Degree in Biology, from Manchester University. He is equally passionate about the One Health philosophy and dedicated to developing solutions to support it. Having been Chief Technology Officer at various Health Tech companies over the last 15 years, he is equipped with the IT skills to do that, utilising in-depth scientific and biological knowledge.

He has also drawn upon his experience, as co-founder of Health Team Ltd (aka knowmalaria) to launch Pinpoint Travel Health, another of PD2X’s exciting Group brands.

Clive Minihan

Clive Minihan

Having worked with UK and US-based start-ups and dynamic small technology companies for over 30 years, Clive Minihan is an expert at taking businesses from their day zero to their final successful exit. This insight is now underpinning PD2X, the parent company of VetDx, and enabling it to focus on high-growth areas and markets, to the appeal of investors seeking strong returns. Having handled exits totalling around £200 million, Clive understands how to build highly successive and profitable businesses in which to invest.

Clive shares Andrew’s passion for the One Health philosophy and dedicates himself to forging partnerships that can help the company capitalise on its outstanding software solutions.

Clive has an MBA from the highly respected Harvard Business School and also has an MA from Oxford University. He is a qualified accountant and Treasurer of the Harvard Business School Club of London. He is also a Mentor on the NHS England Clinical Entrepreneurs Programme.

Jonathan Statham

Jonathan Statham

MA VetMB DCHP FRCVS

Jonathan is Professor of Sustainable Livestock Health and Welfare at Harper-Keele Veterinary School and a hugely respected cattle health specialist, focused on providing veterinary services to cattle.  He is an ex-Cambridge Veterinary School graduate and RAFT’s Chief Executive.

Jonathan provides VetDx with invaluable insight, which has helped bolster the relevance of the animal health and welfare-focused software delivered.

He is past-President of the British Cattle Veterinary Association (BCVA) and has sat on the GB ‘Cattle Health and Welfare Group’ (CHAWG), as well as the GB ‘Sheep Health and Welfare Group (SHAWG) and the Veterinary Policy Group (VPG) of the British Veterinary Association (BVA). Current commitments include sitting on the UK Animal Science Advisory Board (ASAB) and the Animal Health and Welfare Board of England (AHWBE), where he is the Chair.

He is also Partner and Chair of the Bishopton Veterinary Group LLP, a 40-vet practice group headquartered in Ripon, North Yorkshire, which is a member of the XLVets group.

Harriet Scott

Harriet Scott

RAFT’s Head of Operations, Harriet Scott, is a valuable member of the VetDX management team, bringing over ten years’ experience in managing a wide variety of projects and portfolios. Her experience includes overseeing projects for Innovate UK, levy bodies and pharmaceutical companies and she is a recognised PRINCE2 Practitioner.

A previous role saw her working for a pharmaceutical contract research organisation, coordinating studies in a GCP/GLP regulated environment. She now sits on the FarmSkills Steering Group and the Askham Bryan College’s Research Committee and is an external key opinion leader in the InSHAW project.

She also project-manages The National Johne’s Management Plan and AHDB’s Pig Health Scheme – two industry-wide livestock sustainability and disease control programmes.

Rachel Kirkby

Rachel is a qualified veterinarian and worked in-practice for over 15 years. She has a post-graduate certificate in Small Animal Medicine and an in-depth knowledge of the veterinary industry.

Rachel has worked for several years in Business Development and is focused on improving efficiencies within the veterinary world, easing work lives for vets and raising animal welfare.
